Terms of Service
Last updated: May 1, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Saylore. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.
1. The service
Saylore is an AI-assisted language-learning app offering CEFR A1–C2 courses in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Portuguese, along with IELTS and TOEFL preparation. We may update or improve features over time.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for the activity that happens on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Saylore (or older where local law requires).
3. Subscriptions & billing
Saylore is free to download and start. Premium plans are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled, and you can manage or cancel them in your store account. Refund requests go through the store you bought from.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't try to break, reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
- Don't use Saylore to harass, deceive, or harm other people.
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the things you write or say into Saylore. You grant us a limited licence to process that content in order to run and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. AI output
The AI tutor is a learning aid. It tries very hard to be accurate, but it can make mistakes. Don't rely on it for legal, medical, or other professional advice.
7. Intellectual property
Saylore, the mascot, and our courseware are owned by us. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own language learning. The "Saylore" name is ours; please don't use it in a way that confuses people about who made what.
8. Termination
You can stop using Saylore and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
9. Warranties & liability
Saylore is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and our liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
10. Exam trademarks
IELTS is a registered trademark of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English. TOEFL is a registered trademark of Educational Testing Service (ETS). Saylore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by IDP, Cambridge English, the British Council, or ETS. Our exam-prep paths are independent practice materials.
11. Changes
If we change these Terms in a material way, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
